Society Objectives
- Disseminating the culture of the art of photography, its history, and the features of its development; as well as exploring its future in the UAE community.
- Supporting talented photographers, and advancing their skills.
- Providing technical photographic services to satisfy the needs of the UAE community.
- Organizing exhibitions to showcase photographic works, and holding photography workshops and training courses.
- Protecting the intellectual property rights of Association members.
- Establishing a national digital library, comprising an archive of photographs portraying the UAE’s contemporary history.
- Setting up a national museum to display exhibits that reflect the art of photography.
- Opening channels of cooperation and communication with photographers at the local, regional and international levels, for the transfer and exchange of experience and expertise through joint exhibitions with relevant institutions.
- Promoting photography through organizing local competitions and participating in international activities and contests.
- Encouraging the protection of the environment and the preservation of the UAE’s cultural achievements and heritage through the art of photography.
- Developing and enhancing the professional skills of photographers, enacting the organizational regulations that govern the photography profession, and following-up and supporting activities of its members in the service of the State.
- Pioneering awareness plans and training programmes in the field of photography.
- Conducting research to explore and develop the future prospects of photography.
