Abu Dhabi Film Commission

Abu Dhabi Film Commission is an initiative launched by the Abu Dhabi Authority for Culture & Heritage in January 2009 with an objective of assisting the development of the Film and TV industry in Abu Dhabi, nurturing of new talent and contributing to the promotion of Arab culture through film. Abu Dhabi Film Commission has launched a series of initiatives in 2009 including a diverse programme of training opportunities, production grants and the 2009 edition of The Circle Conference and Emirates Film Competition.

Abu Dhabi Film Commission also sponsors a year round programme of Master Classes, with the aim of giving filmmakers in Abu Dhabi the opportunity of meeting and learning from some of the top creative talent and personalities in the global film and television industry. In 2010, ADFC will continue its support to the filmmakers in the UAE & the region through different training and internship programmes such as Aflam Qaseera short film fund, New Voices documentary series and the 4th edition of the Shasha Grant, our 100,000USD feature film development grant. Internationally ADFC continues promoting Abu Dhabi as a new filming location through the locations library on our website www.film.gov.ae and promotes Abu Dhabi at film festivals and markets around the world.
