ABU DHABI - For the third year in a row, the Abu Dhabi Authority for Culture and Heritage (ADACH) will participate in Abu Dhabi Recruitment Show Tawdheef 2012 which is set to take place during the period from 31 January to 2 February 2012, at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre.
"ADACH's participation in the Fair came to present its strategy to university graduates, and to attract local cadres to work in attractive and rare fields, especially through the departments of restoration, historic environment, arts, the National Library of the Authority, and other departments," said Abdul Rahim Khoury, Director of Human Resources at ADACH.
Khoury said that representatives from these departments will be present at the ADACH's pavilion to provide adequate outline for the applicants on the nature of the tasks, objectives and mechanisms of the work of these departments in the Authority, and also to motivate them to participate in implementing the strategy of maintaining the cultural heritage of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi and the UAE. ADACH has been seeking to implement this strategy since early 2006.
Those who seek jobs at ADACH will be able to use the new electronic job application system "Irecruitment" through the ADACH's website. The system allows each applicant to obtain a username and a password for submitting their CVs and to know the available vacancies. The system also allows applicants to amend their CVs, follow up the status of the application, and know the dates of written tests and interviews in case the application is approved.
Khoury stressed ADACH's keenness on participation in local recruitment fairs.
"This helps renew and update the database of the available vacancies at the Authority, in harmony with the needs of different departments and sections of the Authority and its renewable projects," he said.
He noted that the ADACH works in accordance with the Abu Dhabi Government's policy which aims to raise the rate of Emiratization in government and official bodies.
"ADACH managed to raise the rate of Emiratization in the Authority to more than 66% last year, and that it seeks to raise it again this year, especially with the launch of many innovative cultural and heritage projects," he added.
